Hello. I'm based in England, UK and I'm currently engaging in entomology as a hobby. I own a small insect collection, mostly consisting of Hymenoptera and Diptera and coleoptera. Although I have one or two specimens from other orders, I primarily collect the previous three.

I find Hymenoptera really interesting and have particular fondness for parasitic wasps, gall wasps and mining bees.
When it comes to Coleoptera, I find ground beetles, rove beetles and clown beetles really interesting aswell.

I can try help out with identifying British insects although I may be wrong sometimes so don't 100 percent rely on the ID I give
Feel free to tag me in insect IDs, in particular mining bee IDs.
I hope to study entomology or zoology as a future career but for now I'm just a hobbyist :)

The current insect set as my profile picture is a common bluebottle fly (Calliphora vicina). The specimen is from my personal collection.

I use either a phone camera or a TOMLOV DM9 7" digital microscope to photograph both live or collected individuals. Most of my observations consist of invertebrates, mostly insects.
