I work as a bee biologist doing conservation research in the Chicago and upper Midwest region. My background is mainly in bumblebees, both in California and in the Midwest, but my interests extend to other bees, wasps, pollinators generally. flowering plants, and birds (everything's interesting really, but my bandwidth is limited).
