I am a bit of a generalist. I began my nature observations as a birder in the UK in 1972. I continued my passion with birding on my return to Canada in 1974. In the late 90's as my high frequency hearing began to turn south, I developed an interest in other taxa, including herbaceous plants, ferns, lichens, butterflies, odonates but am not an expert in any of these!! One might describe me as a keen amateur!
