I am a retired professor emeritus of Biology and Horticulture at Ferrum College (www.ferrum.edu) in Virginia. I am interested in the morphology, taxonomy and ecology of fungi and algae. I teach courses in all aspects of plants and fungi and enjoy nature and photographing my experiences. I also work with a collaborating network of ecologists called EREN (Ecological Research as Education Network) (www.erenweb.org) faculty and students at primarily undergraduate institutions from around the United States. I am also a senior scientist on the Ferrum College Smith Mountain Lake Water Quality Program where I conduct algae and invasive weed studies (http://tinyurl.com/y72lklj5).
