El Barco was the location of our old sailboat in the Septentrional mountains near Altamira, Dominican Republic; and was a project site here on iNaturalist (see my Projects tab). Now, we live at slightly lower elevation in Puerto Rico and have a new project devoted to all species in the Barrio of Palos Blancos (Sector Los Ramos) in Corozal. We observe a variety of birds, insects, arachnids, lizards, amphibians, and occasional nematodes and such - though there are some overlapping species, there are also many new to us here.
