I am Christiaan Kooyman. I am currently retired but I used to work as an entomopathologist. My main project was the development of a myco-insecticide against locusts and grasshoppers. This product, Green Muscle, is based on the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium acridum, which only infects the members of the Acridodea. I am also somewhat of an expert on Sahelian grasshoppers and to a lesser extent those from south of the Sahel. I now reside in Kenya.
