I am a naturalist at heart and a plant ecologist by training. I'm most knowledgeable about birds, particularly the avifauna of East Africa and the Western US. Insects and herps are my newest interests and there is so much to learn! I work as a scientist on climate change adaptation in social-ecological systems and live in Nairobi, Kenya.
