I'm an American scientist living in New Zealand. I've had a lifelong interest in natural history, and particularly enjoy entomology and invertebrate zoology. My formal training is in ornithology, and I spent a substantial amount of time in Mexico studying the landscape ecology of tropical dry forest birds. Somehow, I've managed to end up on the bottom of the planet as an invasive species biologist.
