Studied archeology at Southern Methodist University way back in the stone age, and worked a short stint as an archeologist on staff at the Amerind Foundation in Dragoon, Arizona. Currently working for local county government here in Maryland, where I manage a section responsible for reviewing construction plans for environmental compliance. I've been with this section since 1995 and have been manager since 2013. It keeps me very busy.

I've always had an interest in the natural sciences, particularly invertebtares. In 2014 I ran across the Maryland Biodiversity Project and soon began volunteering with them.
