Ebony Forest is a Mauritian conservation organisation whose primary activities are ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, training in conservation and awareness. We restore forests with endemic plants and re-introduce missing fauna species using evidence based science. We are a team of Mauritian staff with varying backgrounds in ecology, from Bachelor's and Master's degrees to PhDs. Our values include building local capacity in conservation and raising awareness on environmental issues so that future generations can continue the work started. The site has been open to visitors since 2017.
