I do some beach combing in the Gulf of California, looking at taxonomy and biogeography. Edaphus refers to Conus tessulatus edaphus (now Conus edaphus), a beautiful Indo-Pacific species that occurs in the Gulf (more common in the SW). Late 2019 I launched a small site dedicated to marine molluscs from Sonora (in general, the Gulf of California; sonoranshells.org). I am sure that there are still some taxonomic shortcomings, but anyway, it is just a start.
