An amateur entomologist, avid gardener, and grad student in biology (focus in invertebrate conservation). I raise monarch butterflies during the summer and submit data to various monarch conservation projects. I also have a worm farm and black soldier fly larvae bin to help recycle household food waste into plant food, as well as a snail terrarium that houses all kinds of soil fauna. Macro photography is a new hobby of mine, and I'm enjoying integrating my love for bugs and fascination with bug anatomy into my art.
