I am an ecology professor at Florida Atlantic University's Honors College in Jupiter, Florida. Most of my research concerns ants, particularly the spread of non-native species. My daughter studies botany, so I have begun learning about plants and setting up plant projects, often to help undergraduates with their senior theses. I live in Martin County and I am working on learning all the local plants here. Every local hike is now a research expedition.
