I just really like turtles!
Currently I am a wildlife biologist for Cypress Environmental Consulting in Houston TX, and a Research Associate for Texas Turtles.
I am just trying to save the world one turtle at a time.
I received my M.S. in Integrative Biological Diversity from Western Connecticut State University. As well as received my B.S. from Stephen F. Austin State University, with a degree in Forestry and an emphasis in Forestry Wildlife Management.
My interests primarily include turtles and the anthropogenetic factors influencing their populations, such as road mortality, urban expansion, invasive species, urban heat island, over exploitation, etc...
I am grateful to have worked with such a variety of charismatic species of herpetofauna ranging from alligator snapping turtles in east Texas, too Burmese pythons and Argentine black and white tegus in south Florida, and even diamondback terrapins all the way in coastal Connecticut! I look for any opportunity to enhance my abilities as a herpetologist, and gain new knowledge over all things herps.
