I have been involved in alternative education and conservation for the past 27 years....a co-ordinator of the Chennai based sea turtle conservation network [ www.sstcn.org]....a trustee and active participant in the Thiruvannamalai based afforestation/education/organic farming/sustainable community group called " The forest way" [www.theforestway.org]....part of a team which runs an alternative school called Marudam farm school. [ www.marudamfarmschool.org] ....part of a community trying to live sustainably near Tiruvannamalai....very interested in recording biodiversity and have been doing so for a few years now in India biodiversity portal.....part of the steering committee of the Ecological Restoration Alliance (ERA)
