My passion for mycology began in 2021 when my nose bumped into a birch polypore and I became totally fascinated with it. Since then, I've wanted to learn all about fungi - first, the edible ones, and now, all the ones I previously ignored. I'm currently an executive team member of the New Brunswick Mycological Society (MycoNB) as newsletter coordinator and a moderator of our Facebook page. This summer (2024), I led my first regional walk with my dear friend and esteemed mushie-mentor, Jessika Gauvin and will hopefully lead more walks for my small corner of northern New Brunswick in the near future!

Additionally, I've fallen in love with participating in Mycota continental MycoBlitzes and am currently collecting specimens for the MycoMap Atlantic Canada Network.
