Californian molecular biologist currently studying wasp spiders (Argiope bruennichi) in Europe. As I know next to nothing about the flora and fauna in my new home in northern Germany, iNaturalist helps me get a better idea of what I'm looking at. I also love iNaturalist for recording field observations for my own research, and I've started using it as an outreach tool for introducing others to their native biodiversity. To this end, I'm currently helping run two iNat projects, one for students at my university, and one California citizen science initiative -- check them out:
