A retired scientist, I am very interested in the natural world. Having kept bees and hens for many years am fascinated by most things flying (that I can see). Especially bees, wasps, hoverflies, dragonflies and birds. Love finding out more about what I cannot readily identify, or that I have made an error in identifying.
