Mis principales áreas de estudio son la ecología y el manejo silvicultural de los bosques nativos chilenos, y la taxonomía vegetal aplicada al estudio de la flora y vegetación de las zonas centro, sur y austral de Chile. Tengo especial interés en árboles, arbustos y las familias Orchidaceae (Chloraeinae) y Amaryllidaceae.

My research focuses on ecology and silvicultural management of chilean native forests, and plant taxonomy applied to research of vegetation and flora from the central, south and magellanic Chile. I have a special interest in trees, shrubs and Orchidaceae (Chloraeinae) and Amaryllidaceae families.
