I grew up in the piney woods and have lived in the Blackland prairie for a while now, and find both the forests and prairies to be fascinatingly diverse ecosystems. I am in the Blackland Prairie chapter of Texas Master Naturalists (class of 2020), serving on the New Member Training committee. I am a professor of educational leadership at Texas A&M Commerce, and for fun, I am creating a micro prairie in my very small backyard in Richardson.
