I love iNat because it allows me to indulge in my innate biophilia and my love of photography as well as to continue learning more about the natural world. As a "naturalist" I'm strictly in the amateur tradition. Although my career has been in non-nature related fields, I've had the wonderful opportunity having worked more than 10 seasons, mostly as an interpretive ranger, at 9 different units of the National Park Service. I've also worked seasonally an interpreter and as an environmental educator for two different cooperating associations connected to a national park. Most recently I've been a docent/environmental educator at one of the National Wildlife Refuge complexes working with visiting elementary school groups.
