I am a biologist with Mecklenburg County’s Division of Nature Preserves and Natural Resources, and spend most of my days assisting with the fauna collections at the Dr. James F. Matthews Center for Biodiversity Studies and evenings collecting data on the moths and bats. When I'm not in the lab or chasing butterflies, birds, or dragonflies I can be found in my wood shop creating hand-crafted wooden kayaks.
