I studied Botany, Environment Sciences, and Soil Science at the University of Vermont, College of Agriculture. Then worked full time at carpentry, mostly historical renovations, from 1980 to 2014. Part time organic farmer from 1990 to present, selling raspberries, garlic, and shiitake mushrooms. Semi retired since 2014, camping 5 1/2 months per year and taking photos of wild plants almost every day. Alternate winters in Florida and American Southwest deserts. Often travel to Mexico.
