Bitten by the nature bug on my first camping trip around age 17, and never recovered. Whether it's odes or leps, birds or botany, fungi or herps, I continue to become totally consumed and fascinated by the biodiversity of this planet. I've been lucky that my natural history passions have melded with my work - which has included teaching and leading ecotours to many special places around the world. Enjoy exploring the diverse habitats of New York's North Country, though the call of the tropics, as well as that of higher altitudes and latitudes is a continual pull.
