I am a biology professor at Murray State University. I study the vibrational communication and mating behavior of wolf spiders and treehoppers. In 2016, my daughter, Sylvie, and I discovered a treehopper unknown to science and got to name it after her-- Hebetica sylviae. I'm now on a mission to learn all I can about their biology.
