I started life as a naturalist, and even went so far as to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Conservation and Botany from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma and to work some years thereafter as a Park Technician for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. But I left that track to spend the bulk of my career in outdoor sports; sports such as whitewater rafting, wild rivers float camping, paragliding, off-road vehicles, and others.
