My main interests are plants (especially flowering plants) and insects. Most of my observations, and a fair number of my identifications, are located in Vermont, USA, which is my primary place of interest. I follow the observations of a few plant tribes more generally, including Parideae and Medeoleae.

I have graduate degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer Science. I have some graduate training in Biology but no degree. I'm pretty much self-taught in Botany.
