I grew up in northeast TN where I cultivated (pun intended) a love of plants through membership in my high school's FFA team.

I have a BS in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University and have worked as software developer since 2001 - primarily focused on backend database development.

I have gravitated towards iNaturalist because it allows me to combine my interests in databases and nature!

A member of the Williamson County chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT Wilco), the Goodwater chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists, and the Williamson County Area Beekeepers Association.
