I am a self taught botanist and ethno-botanist who has lived and worked in the Pilbara for the past 37 years. I have visited most offshore inlands along the Pilbara coastline and have monitored vegetation on Thevenard Island for over 30 years. I have also monitored vegetation on Varanus Island for 36 years. I work with Aboriginal people inland Pilbara helping them to match traditional ecological knowledge and names to scientific names and information. I am passionate about eradicating weeds especially from the few areas that currently are weed free.
