I currently live in the Niagara area of southern Ontario (Canada). I retired from a lengthy career a few years ago from my position as Environmental Scientist with Ontario Hydro / Ontario Power Generation. I have been very interested in amphibians and reptiles for over 50 yrs, and have gathered information from throughout Ontario as a volunteer with conservation organizations, as part of my employment responsibilities, and as a citizen scientist. My observations have been submitted to various amphibian and reptile atlasing programs such as Ontario Field Herpetologists’ Ontario Herpetofaunal Summary (1984-2009), and Ontario Nature’s Ontario Reptile and Amphibian Atlas (2009-2019). Over the years I have been particularly interested in distributions and range extensions, circumstances contributing to declining populations, and taxonomy of Ontario amphibians and reptiles.
