Hi! I am a sophomore currently studying Environmental Science and Botany at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. I am an enthusiastic botanizer, birder, photographer, hiker, and all-round naturalist with a particular passion for ecology, evolution, wildlife conservation, and native gardening.

I am a co-coordinator of the Pittsburgh Christmas Bird Count, an outing leader for the Three Rivers Birding Club (3RBC), and member of the Botanical Society of Western PA.

During an internship this summer, I will be expanding Chatham's herbarium by creating a collection of plants found on the Eden Hall campus that are beneficial to native bird populations. I will be collecting, pressing, and cataloging these specimens and returning later in the year to collect seeds and fruits. This project is important because it will provide a greater understanding of the phenology and ecology of plant and bird communities in Western Pennsylvania.

I am also a dedicated patch birder, and I've made a few notable observations near my home over the years. Most recently, I found and documented the first pair of Merlins to breed in Allegheny County, which I wrote an essay about, published in the 3RBC's bimonthly journal called The Peregrine, which you can find here: https://www.3rbc.org/newsarch/newsspt22.pdf
