NYBG EcoFlora Update October 1, 2018

Take the WATCH FOR WHITE SNAKEROOT EcoQuest Challenge.

During the FIND FRAXINUS EcoQuest Challenge, Janet found a new population of Pumpkin Ash in Central Park. That's inspirational! One of New York State's rarest trees found by a citizen scientist in Central Park. The Pumpkin Ash is now known from two populations in Manhattan (both in Central Park) and several populations in the Bronx. Who will find the first trees on Staten Island?

Join us October 13th for a WATCH FOR WHITE SNAKEROOT field trip. to the Mill Creek estuary south of the Outerbridge Crossing, Staten Island.
