The Rainbow Route

From Granite Mountain we were supposed to drive through Joshua Tree, a stop that I was looking forward to. It started raining that day though, and kept on raining, so much so that may of the roads became impassable and we had to change our original route. This new route weaved through a beautiful mountain pass, and we were lucky enough that the rain eventually let up, which gave us not an awesome double rainbow. We quickly stopped at an overlook, got our pictures, and piled back in the vans because the wind up there was freezing. Just because things don’t always work out as originally planned, there is beauty to be seen in everything.
