I'm defecting to Team San Antonio this year since I'll be camping in Lost Maples instead of covering my stomping grounds in Houston! I've competed for Houston-Galveston every year since 2017 so this feels like betrayal 😏. If you're in Lost Maples for the event, look for Sonorabee!

@Sonorabee - welcome to CNC SA Area Event. I know we have some folks in Lost Maples area that you may make it an CNC-event their. Will look into it. We are not at Houston / DFW Levels population but we plan to have fun being out in Nature with iNaturalist. Post if I find any!

Castroville Regional Park Bird Walk and City Nature Challenge Event
Friday, April 29 | 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Tom and Patsy Inglet will lead us on a bird walk and City Nature Challenge opportunity at Castroville Regional Park, located in the southwest part of Castroville at 816 Alsace Avenue, Castroville, TX 78009. The park consists of 126 wooded acres on the Medina River and 4.5 miles of trails. This trip is limited to 15 people, including the leaders. There are 2 spots available as of April 1. Please wear shoes appropriate for rocky paths and bring water. We will meet in the upper parking lot of the park and look for spring migrants as well as resident birds. Directions: Take US 90 West to Castroville. At the end of the Medina River bridge you enter Castroville, turn left onto Florence Street, and follow the signs to the park. We will be documenting plants and animals for the City Nature Challenge as we walk. Contact Patsy at engagement@bexaraudubon.org if you have questions.
