"Pocahontas” form of female — capture location mapped.
After wide grass blades became scarcer within the terrarium, the larvae created shelters by folding up Glechoma hederacea (Ground-Ivy) leaves, then emerging nightly to feed on the grasses (and carex).

I watched the large Tricolored Bumble Bee (a queen?) buzzing around in the area, and then all of a sudden it/she landed and walked right into this little hole in the ground. She backed partially out three or four times over the next few minutes, which allowed me to catch the photos of her in that space, but I didn't see her actually leave the hole. (I waited only four or five minutes, though. Mosquitoes were intense....)

Found at Ethan Allen Homestead (Vermont). Plant is approximately seven (7) feet tall. Diameter of the stem is approximately 1.5 inches at the base.
Main umbel is flat-topped with approximately 30 flower rays. Each of the secondary umbels is round-topped with the same number of flower rays.
Note: These close-up photos were taken from a short stepstool.
