Here is an odd scene. I heard something flapping about in the long grass and sure enough there was a dragonfly down there, being attacked by a paper wasp! The wasp seemed to give up and flew off after a minute or so. The dragonfly climbed up into the open and rested for another minute, allowing me to snap a quick portrait. It flew away before I was able to get a dorsal shot. About five minutes later, the wasp (or one of its friends) returned and started searching the area, though there was no longer anything to find!

This spider's eyes are unusually formed. Posterior eyes on the spider's left seem missing. ALE on that side is unusually large. AMEs are slightly off-center to the left!

This spider was out wandering at night, just off a hiking trail near Binna Burra Lodge at Lamington. Photographed with caution and returned alive and well to location found. Suspect this was a male looking for a mate.
