I've been observing plants for many years, focusing on wildflowers and medicinal plant uses. For the last few years I've followed the wild horse and burro story, tracked them in the wild and I have become a certified wildlife darter. Using that skill I volunteer to dart wild horses with birth control.

I became a birder during the pandemic and have learned so much using this platform. I recently found a new home along the American River Parkway and am thrilled to explore this landscape through the seasons and through the years.
