I'm a faculty member at the Evergreen State College where my teaching and research focuses on biodiversity and conservation of Pacific Northwest lichens and bryophytes. I'm an avid naturalist and and I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be than in an old growth forest staring at a slime mold. I'm particularly interested in engaging undergraduate students with learning about plants from the molecular to the ecosystem level through careful observation and experimentation in the lab and the field.
