Naturalist, birder, graduate student, my primary interest and work is focused on using sound as a way to monitor and understand biodiversity. I curate records in eBird and the Colorado Bird Records Committee, and annotate bird sounds to help the Merlin app. But besides sounds, I'm particularly fond of studying evolution, hybridization, and migration in birds, and besides birds am relatively well-versed in North American plants and marine mollusks. I primarily use iNaturalist as a tool to document and learn unfamiliar plants.
