I am a retired Ecologist and Program Coordinator who previously worked in the Protected Areas Policy Section of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. I live in Peterborough ON, and spend much of my time birding, botanizing, and observing arthropods and other biota in the local area and abroad, with my partner, Natasha and daughter, Emma. I have conducted numerous biological inventories in natural areas throughout the province, and I've contributed to all three rounds of the Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas. I now also spend some of my time as a volunteer with the Kawartha Land Trust, assessing the ecological values of potential properties and building up the biological information base on secured properties.
